The Eagles' ‘History’ Tour Brings In $145 Million, Plays To 1.1 Million Fans

The history of the World Tour Eagles, released in July last year, has raised more than $ 145 million, according to figures released today by the Eagles manager Irving Azoff. The band has performed in front of 1.1 million fans in North America and Europe during the last year touring in support of the documentary of the same name.


The Eagles are one of the elite touring bands of all time, having grossed $ 702,110,908 and 7,720,760 tickets to 484 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore since the band re-united by the 1994 Hell Freezes Over tour moved. "The strength worldwide Eagles live business is unparalleled," Azoff tells Billboard. "It just grows and grows."

The history of the Eagles of the European leg wraps July 2 in Lucca, Italy, and continues with a series of US dates starting August 25 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. The dead leg summer / fall concert includes fourth and fifth at Madison Square Garden; adds another date LA-area on October 3 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.; and concludes on October 4 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, California. The 2015 portion of the tour begins in February for concerts across Australia and New Zealand.

Launched July 6, 2013, in Louisville, the Eagles have made a total of 87 History of Eagles concerts, including three sellouts at Madison Square Garden in New York; six concerts to sellout nights for the reopening of the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.; three sold at the 02 Arena in Dublin, Ireland; and four sold-out London 02.
    
In his July 2013 alone, several tour broke box office records, including highest grossing act of all time in KFC Yum Center ($ 2,023,625) vthe biggest draw in the history of Milwaukee Summerfest July 17, with 22,672 tickets sold; and 12-show run across Canada that sold 150,000 tickets and grossed over $ 17.5 million.

The only chronological presentation catalog live band in the history of the Eagles tour documentary parallels the story with a set list including classics spanning his career, including some songs never performed live before this tour. The superior sound quality that offers covered pavilions adds to the aesthetic impact of history shows that have received rave reviews since it began touring. "These are the best Eagles shows I've seen in my life," said Azoff, who has managed the band for about 40 years. "I love this show. No one should miss. I also admire you for keeping prices affordable tickets, and give the stadium and outdoor dates for the best possible environment for fans to experience this amazing show."

The Eagles have sold over 120 million albums worldwide, and "Greatest Hits 1971-1975" of the band is the best-selling of all time, exceeding sales of 29 million unit’s album. From the band "Hotel California" and "Their Greatest Hits Volume 2" have sold over 16 million albums and 11, respectively. The Eagles were included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Roll in 1998.
